The Finnish library association, in collaboration with the Hämeenlinna city library and the HAMK (Häme University of Applied Sciences) library, are organizing the Kirjastopäivät (Library Days) event at the Verkatehdas in Hämeenlinna from June 15th to June 17th, 2022.

The main theme of the event is “The library of the future – change and empathy.” The program includes subjects related to the future and presents different views on the digitalized world and the work against climate change. It also highlights the importance of humane interaction and empathy.

 The Library Field Trade Fair will take place in conjunction with the Library Days. Dozens of leading businesses and organisations in the library field will be presenting their services.

The library association, together with the Association of Finnish municipalities, will distribute the Library of the Year Award, the Library association’s Library Professional of the Year Award and the Library Innovator Award during the evening event of the Library Days.

The National Library Days are the biggest library trade event in Finland. During the three-day event it’s possible to take part in inspiring and innovative talks and presentations, network in workshops and participatory programs and to enjoy the entertaining evening program and the trade fair.
